As winter rapidly approaches, it is inevitable that we will all head inside. And some of won’t re-enter the world until it thaws. If you are not a hibernator—or even if you are—the Des Moines West Side Chamber and DART are trying to keep us out and about.

From 5pm until midnight for the next six Fridays we can ride the trolley from Ingersoll (up to 35^th) and Grand (up to 39^th) to the East Village. Four trolleys will be running every ten minutes. It will run the regular D-line route, up to East 6^th.

So if you’re looking to do a little bar hopping, shopping or dining on Ingersoll and don’t want to walk in the cold weather or if you want to head to the East Village once your on Ingersoll—the Trolleys will be running! Did I mention it’s free?

If there is enough interest this route could become a permanent part of Des Moines. Hope to see you there!
